Anne Canadeo

Anne Canadeo
Anne Canadeo, who also writes as Katherine Spencer, is the author of many works of fiction. She is best known for the acclaimed, "Black Sheep Knitting Mysteries" and the New York Times bestselling "Cape Light" and "Angel Island" series.

She began her career as the Denver correspondent for Environment Reporter, and also as a reporter for Sun News, in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In New York, she worked for many years as a fiction editor, but eventually decided to try life on the other side of the desk.

When she's not at her desk, Anne enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, cycling and "do-it-yourself" projects. Lots of reading, of course, and watching movies - especially classic and indie films. She also has a not-so-secret weakness for British mystery series. Volunteering in the community, she works with the homeless, a food pantry and a literacy group that provides free books for children in need. Feeling very fortunate to live near the beach, she spends time there in all seasons.

Anne lives with her husband, daughter and a scruffy Retriever in Northport, NY—a village on the Long Island Sound very much like the towns depicted in her books.
