Moira Chase is happily settling into her new home in picturesque Twin Pines. She has friends, love, her own business, and the ghosts of her cranky ancestors constantly keeping her company.
Yes, there was that unpleasantness with the dhampir. And the witch. And the shifters. But she's sure ALL of that is behind her as the buzz builds around the town's annual Summer Fest, a celebration of downtown Twin Pines to mark the end of summer. The town is coming alive again, and more than a few people credit Moira, and the long-held belief that Chase witches are good luck for Twin Pines.
But not everyone is thrilled to have the witch among them, and soon Moira finds her friends and business partners targeted by something powerful and destructive, a force even an experienced supernatural bounty hunter like Moira has never seen before.
Soon the town begins to take note of the fact that those associated with Moira are finding their lives in ruins. Solving this case means saving her friends, as well as what's left of her reputation in Twin Pines.
