SPOILERS AHEAD - If you have not read A Fistful of Evil and A Fistful of Fire, read them, then come back.
For everyone else...
Remember that dastardly rogue committing all those atrocities in A Fistful of Fire? Wouldn't you like to know how they lived? Personally, Madison would be happy with never finding out, but someone has to clean up the mess the rogue left behind.
The following scene was originally the opening chapter of A Fistful of Frost. Ultimately, it didn't fit with the theme of the book and got cut. After trimming off the fat and the fluff, I decided it is too fun to leave locked up on my hard drive.
