Dorothy and new husband Sherebury inspector Alan Nesbitt are interrupted one cold November tea by her friend Ada Finch. Ada's son, their gardener Bob, is arrested for stealing a 17th-century tea set created for a doll's house. A poisoned housekeeper reveals more afoot at Brockelsby Hall and the Museum of Miniatures than a missing tea set.
