Waylon, a newly discovered Warlock, and Kaylie, an over worked Reaper, are back after their exhilarating adventure where they took on an ancient being that would have fed on the world's souls had they given him the chance. Settling back into their “normal” lives they both must come to terms with some frustrating complications. Waylon must deal with the fact that he shares his body with several uber powered reapers who never want to stop talking, not to mention their existence is rapidly killing him. Kaylie, on the other hand, must deal with the new Bureau of Reaper who are sending a representative. As Waylon returns to work, he finds that his employer has changed and upon meeting new people he receives some internal albeit twisted encouragement to make changes in his life.
