As much as she’d like to forget all about Aaron and his disappearing act with the immortality serum (and most of Penelope’s blood), it’s beginning to pop up all over the place. Except there’s something not quite right with the formulation, and the serum Sherlock tried so hard to keep secret is now killing people and scattering their bodies across time.
Still untrained and new to the ways of time travel, Penelope is forced to come to terms with the loss of her old gifts and embrace the new and unexpected ones thrust upon her due to the genetic experimentations her father was forced to perform to save her life. As if that weren’t bad enough, Aaron pops back in with a sheepish apology and a promise he wasn’t the one responsible for releasing the serum.
The testosterone and emotions are running high as Penelope is forced to work with two wildly different, yet oddly appealing men in a race to take down the mad scientist responsible for the killings and retrieve the original serum before even more people die.
Penelope would much rather crack open a novel and take a bubble bath, but when you’re the immortal and time-traveling daughter of Sherlock Holmes, luxury is not something easy to come by.
