Trudy has been lonely for so long she sometimes wonders if it is worth it to survive by the Hunt. The daughter of an ancient god and a human mother, she longs for companionship and peace, but she must survive by stealing Lifeforce--soul-- from other. Young men in bars and clubs are the easiest, since she has beauty to lure them
She arrives at the Encanto Bay Cafe, a place where an Other like herself can relax, even though Heath, the owner, nearly guesses what she is. She is welcome to Hunt of she does't kill or cause lasting harm.
Heath works his match making power again and introduces her to Gabriel, an ex-priest--and even worse, one who once studied demonology!
