Tye is working undercover helping his brother investigate a Setti infiltration: he is a Zylott spy. When he is presented with another complication: a major complication, he must report to his brother, Nyx, immediately. Only on his way there, he discovers another victim of the Setti attacks. When he is found over a dead girl’s body that has also been raped, he is arrested for a crime that will mean he forfeits his own life.
Elita, Light Princess, has her life planned out. She is an instructor at the Keeper Academy responsible for training new cadets in the Order of Light. She has recently applied to become a Veil Keeper for The Sacred Order of the Veil. Everything is going as she hoped it would in her career. Unfortunately, her personal life isn’t quite as exciting. When she learns of some startling news, she seeks out the answers to her questions. What she finds is more than she can imagine.
Tye is amazed that Elita would offer him an alibi for the crimes he is charged with. Unbeknownst to Elita and Tye, this gesture will have a very steep price. Elita’s honor is now in question and in order to save it Tye and Elita must bond as mates. They both have no problems with the physical act of bonding; they have wanted each other for quite some time. However, Elita has no plans on emotionally bonding with her heart.
