Reaper VII: Soul Talker
Samantha Bennet is many things…

The half-breed daughter of an overprotective mother and an absent Fallen Angel father, she is burning the candle of justice at both ends: dedicated cop by day, ruthless supernatural vigilante by night, she seems to be keeping most areas of her life in check.

In this balancing act, she juggles a lot of hats.

She’s a loyal girlfriend (except for maybe in her wet dreams about Kyle Brandt, the embarrassingly wealthy media tycoon with the cheekbones of a Cherokee and the uncanny ever-changing brown eyes who ended up at her dinner table with so-called honorable intentions), committed employee, good friend, great tenant, timely tax payer, responsible commuter, dutiful voter…

Yet, following another encounter with Natalie Whyman, the half-blind clairvoyant sketch artist with control issues bordering on the vicious and a poisonous sadistic streak, Samantha’s life will be forever changed --- and not for the better!

With her supernatural Nephalim armor – her second skin – damaged beyond the white witch Angela’s ability to repair, and her fellow cop boyfriend waiting for her back at her apartment, Samantha’s wounded hand is forced.

Even with the Angela’s healing salve, the scars are not going to fade anytime soon, if ever…

She has no choice.

It is time to tell Neal who she is.

What she is.

Can he handle the truth?

Will Neal side with Samantha or with the authorities who are trying to capture her?

Will he help her, or try to detain her himself?

After all, Neal is something of a Good Samaritan, Good Cop, Shoulda-Been-A-Cowboy kinda guy.

As for Samantha… well, lately she’s been breaking a lot of Mankind’s laws while enforcing a few of Heaven’s.

It’s kind of what happens when you kill killers to feed your Dark Nephalim self the blood of the guilty…

Thankfully, she has some unusual allies making themselves known with talents and resources beyond her wildest imaginings…

Yet her good deeds will not go unpunished.
