Picking up five years after the events of IF I SHOULD DIE, TO DIE FOR follows seventeen-year-old Louis, once numa, transitioning to bardia. As Paris's revenants face a new threat, Louis joins them from where he's been living in Brittany with Bran, the guerriseur. After worshiping the Paris revenants from afar, now he will not only be living with them at La Maison, but fulfilling a role they chose specifically for him. He will be working side-by-side with a young guerriseur named Siaka to form the liaison between the Flame Fingers and the bardia. That is, if their budding romance doesn't get in the way.
