Where there’s smoke, fire is not far behind…
Bucky Detering is killed while fighting a fire at a local lumber mill. Andi Comstock’s brother, Dell, and several other firefighters are injured. After he’s cremated, Bucky pays Andi a visit and the next thing she knows, she’s involved in the search for the arsonist responsible for his death. Bucky delivers clues to Andi via fire-related quotes from famous people, which helps local law enforcement and the fire department prevent more deaths, but it doesn’t help identify the arsonist.
But something more is going on than a firebug who likes to watch things burn…
Andi soon discovers unexpected elements at play, aside from being able to speak to the cremated dead. When she’s threatened with an ominous warning, BURN BABY BURN, she and her boyfriend, Detective Jack Harmon, and their willing cohort, Father Riley, understand that the ticking fire clock is nearly wound down. Will they be able to find the arsonist before his threat becomes reality?
