The last thing I expected was to take a bullet for a woman.
Least of all, one that did everything she could, to show me how much she hated my guts.
Go figure.
Cause here I was, lying on her kitchen floor, bleeding out to death.
And as she hovered over me, a gun in her hand and tears in her eyes,
All I could see was how this sweet, gorgeous, hell of a woman, was set on killing me.
And yes, I deserved it for what I did to her many years ago.
I broke her trust and her heart.
Begging for a second chance wasn’t an option in our story.
While she gets her payback, my life lies in the hands of an angel.
