After coming home from deployment missing a leg and a lot of the man I used to be, I don’t need anyone’s pity. Especially not the beautiful woman who kisses me under the mistletoe.

Even though she’s the first good thing to happen to me in I don’t know how long, I push her away. But it’s that kiss that brings me back to life.

A year later, I’m a changed man and I won’t let her go a second time.

All I want for Christmas is her.
