The fifth Hitman short story opens at a sales seminar in Dallas, Texas where a woman can definitely see a hit as a bargain.
So she hires our favorite killer to slay her network marketing junkie husband before he spends the rest of their life savings trying to build his downline by getting stood up at meetings and buying every motivational tape and product available. What follows is educational for the sociopathic murderer for hire. He learns that it’s good to have a big downline, or at least that it would be wise to market to the spouses of the people who think they can strike it rich with multi-level marketing. Think of all the clients! But how can you reach them all?
This story was first published in the anthology Crime Spree edited by Trey Barker & Sandy DeLuca, and was reprinted in the Gary Jonas collection called Quick Shots (which includes more short fiction including the previous Hitman stories)
