An angel's cry let's Zoey know a paranormal-related death has occurred. This time around, the angel isn't handling it so well…
By her 30th birthday, Zoey Foster thought she was too old to become a witch. She thought wrong.
To learn about her new powers, she will need the help of her familiar, Bart, who for unknown reasons has taken on the form of a cat only she can see.
It's been a few weeks since Zoey's mom left, and things have more or less gone back to normal in Twitchapel. Of course, this was bound to not last.
Zoey bumps into an old bookstore owner, who tells her she has a special order for her. Zoey meets her later that day, to find that the special order has been misplaced. She agrees to come back later, but it's unfortunately the last time she will see the woman alive.
When they find her thanks to an angel's call, they realize they won't be getting rid of the angel so quickly. It's his first day, after all! On top of that, he'll prove to not be quite as useful as Zoey would hope.
Will Zoey be able to learn more about the mysterious torn page found in the victim's hand? Can she and Detective Drake sort through the suspects to find the murderer? Will the angel stop freaking out?
