With his guts squirming and every possible precaution taken, Soph still gets assaulted by the yearly Necronote.
Things get so desperate, he has to call on Mr. Wonderful to save him. Never, ever rely on a cat. For anything. Ever. But the drama is far from over. His dog has an existential crisis. It's petageddon yet again.
With strict electric quotas still in place, but the digital age in full binary swing, when the kill switch is finally flicked the world goes truly dark.
No communication, no surveillance, no social media, and no streaming. What do people do when the internet shuts down and every move is no longer monitored? Nobody seems to know.
The good news? Soph gets an unexpected opportunity to drive along the empty streets of England. But before the murder hunt even begins, he's confronted with all that's bad about humanity. With his head (and wheels) spinning, but with a nice bag of peaches on the passenger seat, our weary Necro does what he reluctantly does best and kills without remorse.
